Cricket Scotland tweeted, “Honours to Virat Kohli and the team who took the time. Priceless.” India have kept their hopes of entering the semi-finals alive by winning this match.
It is worth noting that before the qualifiers and on the very first day of the T20 World Cup, Scotland had made a big upset and defeated Bangladesh by 5 runs. Due to this she became the top group of qualifiers and entered India’s group.
However, Scotland’s journey in the Super 12 was not that great and the team failed to win a single match. In the Super 12, against the second team of the second group, Namibia, Scotland could not do much and lost the match by 4 wickets.
But it will be a unique experience for Scotland to do two hands with the big teams and this experience will improve their cricket in the tournaments to come.
