South Africa may have lost even after winning today, but in this T20 World Cup, they defeated England, which was undefeated. Kagiso Rabada who was proving to be expensive in this tournament and match also went from zero to hero in the last over.

England needed 14 runs in the final over and Kagiso Rabada took the match away from England by dismissing Chris Woakes, England captain Eoin Morgan and then Chris Jordan.

However, this win was not enough to get South Africa a place in the semi-finals as Australia had earlier defeated West Indies (8 wickets) by a huge margin. To go to the semi-finals, South Africa had to restrict England to 131 which was not possible. Batting first, South Africa scored 189 runs.
