Electing to bat after losing the toss to Australia, Pakistan set a target of 177 runs in front of Australia in the second semi-final. Openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan gave a good start to Pakistan.

Pakistan’s first wicket fell right on the 10th over. After the powerplay, however, Pakistan could not score as fast. Mohammad Rizwan scored 67 runs in 52 balls which included 3 fours and 4 sixes.

Fakr Zaman, who has been out of form for many times for Pakistan, scored 55 runs in 32 balls and hit 3 fours and 4 sixes, out of which 2 were in the last over.
