David Warner named Man of the Tournament, Mitchell Marsh named Man of the Match in the final

When the T20 World Cup started, Australia defeated New Zealand in the practice match. There was a big difference between that win and this victory. That win was very close for Australia and the Kangaroos won that match by 3 wickets.

But the final was an easy journey for Australia and Australia defeated New Zealand in a one-sided match. The hero of this victory was his batsman more than his bowler. Whenever the wicket fell, Mitchell Marsh counter-attacked the New Zealand bowlers.

First Aaron Finch and then David Warner when Australia lost wickets, then Mitchell Marsh made sure that there was no extra pressure on the team. After the dismissal of Aaron Finch, he hit Adam Milne for 1 six and 2 fours.

Just after David Warner was bowled by Trent Boult, Marsh hit a six and four off Santner’s delivery. Its effect was that Santner started throwing wides continuously under pressure. In this over itself, Marsh scored his second half-century of T20 World Cup by hitting a six off Santner’s ball.

He stood till the end and returned to the dugout with Maxwell returning Australia to their first World Cup. This was the sixth half-century of Mitchell Marsh and all these T20 half-centuries came this year only. Mitchell, who scored 77 runs in 50 balls with the help of 6 fours and 4 sixes, was awarded the man of the match.

Apart from this, David Warner continued his strong form and completed his third half-century in the final of the T20 World Cup against New Zealand by hitting a six. Earlier in this T20 World Cup, he had scored half-centuries against Sri Lanka and West Indies.

David Warner, who controversially missed a half-century against Pakistan, first thrashed the fast bowlers and then the spin bowlers. As a result, he scored 51 runs in 34 balls. He hit 4 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. He had scored 53 runs in 38 balls before being bowled by Boult.

This innings not only made him the second most successful batsman of this T20 World Cup, but he was also named Man of the Tournament. Warner left Pakistan keeper Rizwan behind by 2 runs in this tournament. David Warner scored 283 runs. Only Pak captain Babar Azam was ahead of him, who scored 303 runs.
