All-rounder also captain, Kapil was the top on every front, congratulations on his birthday from the cricket world

New DelhiSachin Tendulkar has got the status of God in the world of cricket, but Kapil Dev has been such a god of this game, before whom the big Turram Khan has bowed down. As a batsman, there was no batsman in front of him. As a bowler, there was no bowler in front of him. At the same time, when he was on the field as captain, then the opposition teams had no answer for his moves.

Kapil Dev, one of the great all-rounders of not only India but the world, is celebrating his 63rd birthday today. He is away from the world of cricket, but even today his example is given in this game of cricket. Every all-rounder wants to be like Kapil Dev, who was famous for giving his 110 per cent with the bat as well as the ball and then on the field. Even as a captain, he had proved that he could make a team a world champion that no one could have imagined.

India won the first world cup

India won the 1983 World Cup under the captaincy of Kapil Dev. India was not seen far and wide as the champion of that mega event, but with the belief in itself, Team India did what no one had imagined. In the final of the World Cup under the captaincy of Kapil Dev, India defeated the team that had won the trophy twice in a row. In this tournament, Kapil Dev made people aware of each and every art of cricket that they are made to do for cricket.

whole career like this

Kapil Dev played 16 years of active cricket for India. He then served Indian cricket as an administrator and a coach. He made his debut in Test and ODI cricket in 1978 and played international cricket for the country for the last time in 1994. He played 131 Tests and 225 One Day Internationals for the country. In Test cricket as a batsman, Kapil Dev scored 5248 runs with 8 centuries and 27 half-centuries.

At the same time, in 225 ODIs, 3783 runs were scored with Kapil Dev’s bat with a century and 14 half-centuries. At the same time, Kapil Dev took 434 wickets in Test cricket as a bowler, which is an Indian record. He holds the record of taking 253 wickets in ODI cricket. These figures in themselves describe the greatness of Kapil Dev, because as an all-rounder very few players can play for so long and have such good figures.

This is the reason why the cricketing world takes his name fondly till date and notable personalities wished Kapil Dev on his birthday.
